Our tax team is headed up by Christine McElroy.The team advises both the public and private sector covering a range of tax issues including:

· The tax implications for NHS Trusts converting to Foundation Trust status;
· Advising NHS Trusts/Foundation Trusts on the corporate and VAT issues in connection with UK and International joint ventures;
· Advising local authorities on the VAT and SDLT issues in relation to the Building Schools for Future initiative;
· Advising RDAs on the VAT and SDLT issues on property structures;
· Advising on the direct and indirect tax issues for RSLs on the provision of affordable and for sale housing;
· Advising local Authorities on the sale of subsidiary companies;
· Advising UK shareholders on the direct and indirect tax aspects of a UK property joint venture; and
· Advising on management incentives and exit strategies.
