Courageous Bevan Brittan LLP partner Julian Hoskins is cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats starting on Sunday 20 May in aid of local charity ‘Child-Safe’.

The Bristol-based Head of Employment personally aims to raise over £4,000 for the charity, as one of eleven riders to take up this extreme challenge to cycle around 1,000 miles within 12 days.

Child-Safe originated as an Avon and Somerset Constabulary innovation, focusing on reducing crimes against children. Over time, the charity has developed broader aims and objectives, re-focusing on the ever challenging area of safeguarding young people by providing practical advice, and promoting the safety, welfare and pastoral care of children and young people. It is committed to improving care, reducing opportunities of abuse and helping parents, volunteers and schools to provide an environment, which is safe and fun.

Julian said: “Having put in many hours of training over the past six months, I am looking forward to finally get going. Hopefully the weather will be kind and I will raise lots of money for this fantastic and worthwhile charity.”
