Bevan Brittan is
hosting an employment law workshop
to advise how to manage
sickness absence and performance
management on
Tuesday 22 May between 8.30– 11am at
its London office.
The breakfast training session, run
in association with the British
Hospitality Association, is aimed at
human
resources directors and managers,
operations directors, line managers
and occupational health advisers
within the leisure and hospitality
industry.
Jodie Sinclair, employment law associate at Bevan Brittan said: “For the Leisure and Hospitality Industry, sickness absence and performance issues are a regular challenge to operational delivery and efficiency. There are significant cost implications for employing organisations. Stress remains the second largest cause of workers’ absence so this is a very hot topic so we think it’s a good time to advise the industry on the best ways to manage these issues.”
The lawyers leading the workshop
will look at how to effectively
manage short-term sickness absence;
bullying and harassment within
organisations;
and the increasing culture of
stress claims. It will suggest how
to improve operational efficiency;
drive down long-term costs and
minimise the risk of legal
claims.
