Four brave Bevan Brittan LLP colleagues abseiled
a 125ft high Bristol landmark on Sunday 17
March, raising over £2,000 for the UK’s leading
children’s charity, NCH.
Bristol-based Head of Client Services, Sally
Calverley; Marketing Manager, Tara Walsh; PR
Executive, Lucy Dicks and Anna Rea,
Client Service Team
Coordinator,
all successfully took up the challenge at the
Avon Gorge near the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
No
previous experience was required as a team of
highly skilled and experienced instructors were
provided by NCH to equip participants with all
they needed; ensuring the experience was as safe
and enjoyable as possible.
Bevan Brittan takes corporate social
responsibility very seriously. Its pro bono and
charitable support
programmes
are focused on children and young people, with
one of the
UK’s leading children’s charities, NCH, being
its current chosen charity.
NCH Fundraising Executive, Shelagh Hillier,
said: “NCH and the vulnerable children and young
people of the South West are immensely grateful
to the four brave staff of Bevan Brittan for
their daring abseil skills and the amazing sum
of over £2,000 that they’ve raised so far. It
really is a fantastic amount. I just hope they
managed to enjoy the beautiful views on the way
down the cliff!"
