My background

1994-99, partner and Head of Employment Department 1997-99.
Joined Bevan Ashford as a partner 1999. Partner, Bevan
Brittan LLP 2004-.
What I do
I advise a wide range of predominantly employer clients,
including national and multinational companies, on all
aspects of employment law such as contractual issues,
discrimination claims, outsourcing, facilities management,
reorganisations, redundancies, TUPE, PFI and negotiation of
board disputes. I also handle a number of high profile
employment tribunal cases.
I have a great deal of experience of speaking at external
conferences and seminars and co-authored three employment
texts: Jordan’s “Employment Law Service”, Sweet and
Maxwell’s “Public Private Partnerships” and Butterworth’s
online Xpert HR.
Some examples
I advised a multinational company on collective
redundancies/contracting out and threatened industrial
action.
I advised a number of multi national group employers on the
employment aspects of a number of outsourcing arrangements.
I advised in connection with enforceability of restrictive
covenants and redrafting of covenants/confidential
information protection, including injunction proceedings
against director level employees.
I have acted for a number of major employers supporting a
strategy for collectively changing terms and conditions of
employment including two multinationals in harmonising terms
and conditions throughout their UK operations.
I drafted and negotiated employment provisions for a number
of PFI/PPP projects including under the Building Schools for
the Future programme.
