My background
Qualified as a barrister 1987, practised at 1 Serjeants Inn,
Fleet Street until 1995. Joined Bevan Ashford 1995, partner
since 1998. Partner, Bevan Brittan LLP 2004-.
What I do
I act principally for employers including national and
multinational companies, advising on all aspects of
contentious and non-contentious employment and
discrimination law. I have extensive advocacy experience in
tribunals and EAT. I am a frequent speaker at seminars and a
co-author of Butterworth’s “Employment Law Reference”. I sit
on the Management Committee of the Employment Lawyers
Association.
Some examples
I represented a high-tech multinational in claims brought by
26 employees dismissed for breach of email policies.
I acted for a US company in injunctive proceedings for
breach of confidentiality in the High Court and Court of
Appeal .
I am advising a client on an application for compulsory
trade union recognition.
I acted for a US multinational in a boardroom dispute with a
European director.
I advised a multi-national company on collective
redundancies/contracting out.
