When dealing with construction law we will deal with issues such as construction security documentation, construction disputes and construction insolvency. Security documentation will be dealt with by Martin Howe and we will be able to advise on and draft all forms of security documentation, including guarantees and bonds and collateral warranties. Disputes will be dealt with by Tony Norris and when dealing with construction law he will handle arbitration, litigation, expert determinations, adjudications, conciliations and mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution and bespoke forms of construction dispute resolution. Insolvency will be dealt with by Gordon Bon who is experienced in handling the often complex insolvency problems associated with the construction industry.
Gordon Bon deals with construction law and was called to the Bar 1983. articled Tozers, qualified 1986. Bond Pearce 1987-90. Laytons 1990-2001 (partner from 1994). Joined Bevan brittan as a partner 2001. MABRP, MICM.
When dealing in construction law Gordon will be dealing with business refocusing and change issues, reconstructions, asset disposal programmes, outsourcing strategies and financial restructuring. he does certain types of refinancing and banking disputes. He frequently advise boards of directors on how to comply with their duties including when facing forced sale issues. He also has considerable experience in corporate recovery work; both transactional and litigious.
