Chambers UK, A Client’s Guide to the Legal Profession 2006/7

We are happy and familiar with dealing with in-house legal teams or direct with HR teams and aim is to provide a service which covers the entirety of the relationship between an organization and the people that work in it, including;
  • Performance and Disciplinary Issues
  • Equal Pay
  • Ill Health & Stress
  • Termination of Employment
  • Reorganisation and redundancy
  • Trade Unions and Industrial Action
  • Discrimination
  • Contractual Documentation and policies and Procedures
  • Whistle blowing
  • TUPE, outsourcing, secondments, partnering and shared services
  • Pensions
  • Representation at Employment Tribunals and Court

Recent projects include:

  • In the context of joint working arrangements between a local authority and an NHS trust, (for example integrated mental health and social services), where both have been named as Respondents, we have successfully worked closely with co-Respondent representatives to achieve a favourable outcome, for both parties, to ensure continued effective partnership working.
  • Advising on implementation of redundancy exercises including consultation with trade unions, election of employee representatives and fair procedures.
  • Acting for a range of LGPS administering authorities in relation to all new admission agreements. This includes advice on complex cases including an admission agreement relating to an admission body in administration. We have also advised on other matters relating to the Fund, such as policy issues and scheme disputes.
